Whole Person Retreat 2012

Learn what you can give yourself to feel whole

Who am I when I feel whole, free, & fully alive?

How do we embrace our strength & power as women?

What does nurturing my whole self look like, while also being of service to others?

In this two-day experiential retreat, women will gather in support of our whole selves, with the purpose of listening, sharing, and exploring what it means to be fully alive in our minds, bodies, and spirits. We will invite revitalizing contemplation, conversation, movement and connection to a community of women. Come prepared to think about the important moments that helped shape you today, explore your deepest desires and think about ways you can re-enter your life with a renewed sense of confidence and gratitude for what is working.

The physical environment of serenity and open space will provide a reflection of the inner peace, subtle inquiry, and freedom that we will co-create during our weekend together. Enjoy delicious organic meals, luxurious accommodations, and the extraordinary setting of Stillheart Institute, nestled in the foothills of Woodside, California.

Testimonials from 2011 Participants:

The Whole Person Retreat could not have come at better time for me in my search for a more balanced professional and personal life. From college-age to retired, each participant had something unique to bring to the group. We spent time as a group, time alone, time outside, and time with music. I walked away feeling capable to continue forward on my journey and grateful for the group of supporters I had gained from the day.

"The idea of attending the Whole Person Retreat at first terrified me (What if I am not as enlightened as the other attendees?) which is exactly why I knew I should attend.  Upon arrival, I felt immediately in a safe place surrounded by women of all generations and different life experiences - pithy wisdom that seemingly was intended just for me.   Facilitators Johanna Beyer, Eliska Meyers and Lisa Chu, with their palpable compassion and openness, created an environment that encouraged participation, bravery, vulnerability, humor and play.  This is a must attend event, my only regret being that it doesn't occur more frequently.   When women put their heads together, powerful things can happen. Hosted By

Eliska Meyers, Johanna Beyer, & Lisa Chu

Eliska Meyers partners with people in designing a path of their choice in service of strategy and growth. She facilitates a big picture view enabling discovery and implementation towards a preferred future that honors collective wisdom, results and relevance. Prior to starting her own company as an organization development consultant, Eliska worked for Hewlett-Packard & Levi Strauss & Company as an internal consultant. She holds a BS in Social Work, and an MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Eliska learned to be tough while raised in New York City & compassion in her life as a San Francisco resident. Her two adult sons and husband of over 30 years keep her grounded & challenged. In addition to having sang with the Glide Ensemble Gospel Choir & connecting with her Czech and Australian relatives, Eliska runs, swims & practices Bikram yoga. She coddles her aging, scruffy dog Austin & loves looking up at the sky while swinging on a hammock.

Johanna Beyer received her Bachelors Degree from UCLA and her Masters Degree in Organizational Development from California Institute of Integral Studies. While working as a management consultant for The Grove Consultants International and The Idea Factory, she learned the fine art of strategic facilitation and led hi- level executive teams in creative strategic planning for long-term success. In 2002, Johanna transitioned from her work with organizations to one-on-one coaching with individuals using many of the techniques that she applied to Fortune 500 companies. Since that time Johanna has been privileged to work with people across the country and help them move past their obstacles and fears so that they can uncover their creativity and gifts. By using different tools and processes, Johanna is able to guide people to the clarity they need in order to live a more purpose driven life. Johanna currently resides in Mill Valley, Ca. with her husband and two sons.

Lisa Chu is a musician, life coach, and creator of The Music Within Us. She provides support and encouragement for adults seeking to live with more creativity and passion, and to experience greater inner peace, joy and freedom. She was trained in classical piano and violin from the age of three, and performed extensively around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, for Pope John Paul II at the Vatican, and in Moscow for Boris Yeltsin, all between the ages of eight and fourteen. Despite this intense early training, she pursued other interests in college, continued on to graduate from medical school, and worked as a venture capitalist in the Midwest for several years before returning to music as the founder of her own violin school in Silicon Valley. Five years later, despite the success of her school, she was called to take a new path of deeper learning and creativity. Drawing from each of the healing arts she practices - yoga, sound healing, meditation, group inquiry, and music improvisation - she now creates experiences to help people awaken their innate creativity, access their bodily intuition, and trust their own internal wisdom. In addition to life coaching, she performs in the acoustic rock band, Chinese Melodrama, and offers improvised, healing music in collaboration with yoga teachers, spoken word artists, and vocalists.
